Are you a Certified Math Teacher/Substitute Math teacher with a background in math looking for a part time teaching opportunity? Do you want to help students to be successful? Looking to get back into the classroom without being in a big school? Apply here!


Under the direction of the school principal, the Math Teacher plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students in an alternate educational setting. The math teacher in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for high school aged students benefit from the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible when supported with supplemental aides, accommodations, and other needed supports.



Responsibilities include:

  • Develop science lesson plans that clearly reflect the individual needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Establish and follow routine and schedule to provide maximum learning time.
  • Establish and maintain an environment conducive to learning.
  • Provide classroom assistants with training/direction to enable them to provide one-to-one instruction.
  • Utilize appropriate curricula and materials.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-2:30pm, 12 month program


Hourly compensation from $42-$46 per hour depending on experience

Requirements include:

NJ Teaching Certification/Substitute Certification - Math teaching preferred, math background, CE, CEAS OK!

Teaching experience, sub teaching experience

  • Always supervise students in the classroom.
