Job description

We're seeking a knowledgeable, motivated Tutor to support high school students in High School Honors and related advanced math, including Algebra II, trigonometry, Pre-Calculus. This is an in-person tutoring role with flexible hours. Ideal for teachers, substitute teachers, math/engineering majors, education majors, student teachers, experienced tutors, or anyone with strong math skills who wants to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized, 1:1 tutoring in Honors Pre-Calculus and related advanced math courses
  • Help students strengthen problem-solving skills and build a strong foundation for Calculus
  • Support homework, test preparation, and study strategies for exams and coursework
  • Tailor instruction to each student's learning style, needs, and goals
  • Build confidence and encourage a positive mindset toward math
  • Submit session notes and communicate progress with families and our office

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, and trigonometry (Honors-level a plus)
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in Woodland Hills and surrounding areas
  • Professional, punctual, and dependable work habits
  • Minimum 3-month commitment
