About the Role:
Sylvan Learning Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking passionate mathematical tutors to inspire high school students in Math and Science for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.  Join our dedicated team and make a difference in students' academic journeys while fostering a love for learning. This job is during high school hours across the valley. The hours can be anywhere from 7AM-3PM. This is a part time tutoring position for the upcoming school year.

Each JAG tutor will earn a daily stipend for gas on top of the $18 per hour. 
Responsibilities:
Tutor will be assigned to high schools and be able to arrive 15 minutes prior to start time.
  • JAG tutors will provide small group tutoring sessions at CCSD high schools for Math and Science subjects.

All tutors:
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
  •  tutoring or teaching experience in high school Math and Science
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their goals.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Flexible schedule-CCSD High schools and in center.
  • A strong background in Math/Science for JAG tutoring
  • Reliable transportation
