Job Description Summary
The Math Studio is seeking intelligent, motivated students for part-time tutoring in the Studio. The primary task of the tutor is to assist and promote active learning for Studio students. Tutors may also be expected to perform other minor clerical duties.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide tutoring to students in algebra courses.
  • Assist instructors in performance of their duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required: Educational Aide Tutors for the Math Studio Lab must have either:
The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours. The Educational Aide Tutor for the Math Studio Lab is required to have either:
Completed MAC 1140
or
Completed MAC1105 and have their instructor's recommendation
The successful applicant must maintain demonstrate mastery of the subject matter designated to tutor. A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Tutoring experience is preferred.
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
