Mathnasium, the Math Learning Center , is now hiring for our Daly City-Pacifica location.
High school juniors and seniors, college students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
We teach math in a way that makes sense to students in 2nd grade through 10th grade. Join us for the opportunity to make a REAL difference in a child's life by passing on a love for math! We offer part-time jobs with flexible scheduling and ongoing training opportunities. Advancement and leadership opportunities are available for top performers. Current Juniors or Seniors in High School, College Students and Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications:
  • Exceptional math skills through Algebra I
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to professionally interact with students
  • Energetic and confident personality

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to teach students up to high school sophomore math courses
  • Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students (a plus but not necessary)
  • We serve our students year-round, so this is an opportunity for regular part-time work. You must be available at least 2 days out of the 5 days that we are open.

Hours : 6 - 26 hours/week (flexible)
Center Hours:
  • Sunday: 1pm - 5pm
  • Monday: 3pm - 7pm
  • Tuesday: 3pm - 7pm
  • Wednesday: 3pm - 7pm
  • Thursday: 3pm - 7pm

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
  • Monday to Thursday
  • Weekend availability

  • List the math classes that you have taken (Algebra 1 and up) and are comfortable teaching. (E.g. Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, etc.)
  • (1) What is your weekly availability? Our tutoring hours are Monday-Thursday 3-7 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm Pacific Time. (2) How many days a week do you ideally want to work?

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
