Summary of Job Duties:
Provide instruction in foundational and secondary-level mathematics (e.g., arithmetic, fractions, decimals, ratios, algebra, geometry, data analysis).
Prepare students for attaining their GED.
Develop lesson plans aligned with state adult education standards and measurable learning objectives.
Incorporate contextualized instruction (e.g., math for workforce, financial literacy, or college readiness).
Utilize varied instructional strategies including direct instruction, collaborative learning, and technology-assisted learning.
Use assessment data to inform instructional adjustments.
Support diverse learners and students with learning differences.
Provide academic advising related to math achievement goals.
Promote retention through engagement strategies and culturally responsive teaching practices.
Maintain attendance and performance documentation.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and program evaluation activities.
Collaborate with workforce partners, counselors, and program administrators.
Ensure compliance with adult education policies and funding requirements.
Knowledge of adult learning theory.
Proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Instructional design and curriculum alignment
Data-driven decision making
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree and valid Arkansas Teacher's License OR Masters degree in an academic subject.
Preferred qualifications: Minimum 2-5 years teaching experience
