Job description

The Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research (OSVCR) is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to provide administrative support for the office. The administrative assistant will perform a wide variety of complex administrative tasks related to events, programs, and meeting coordination in support of a large-scale regional grant received from the National Science Foundation. The primary job responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with event planning (workshops, seminars, etc.) including space reservations, catering and guest speaker coordination, and logistics
• Coordinating various planned programs and tracking administrative tasks
• Calendar management for related meetings
• Various general administrative tasks, including the preparation of presentation materials
The position will work 20 hours/week, with an anticipated duration of 6-12 months.
