Job Description

Position Summary:  The Laboratory Technician is responsible for various support tasks throughout the laboratory assigned on an as-needed basis.  Sample preparation, glassware cleaning, and sample disposal are typical functions.  The ideal candidate shall be a detail-oriented team-player and able to multi-task.  Candidate should also have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Position Functions:

·         Extract/Digest environmental samples with organic solvent or Acid

·         Operate pipettors, balances, and/or graduated cylinders to measure samples volumes and weights

·         Prepare standards

·         Maintain scientific logbooks

·         Follow all Eurofins Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

AA, AS, or BS in science or related field

Basic laboratory experience preferred but not required

Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Position is full-time Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Altamonte Springs, FL are encouraged to apply. 

Pay rate: $17/hr
