Work Hours: Monday - Saturday (20 hours/week)
Position Summary
The part-time position is responsible for supporting order fulfillment, product assembly, receiving and shipping processes within Distribution by performing a variety of operational functions.
This is a part-time position requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week. The schedule includes a mandatory 6-hour shift every Saturday, scheduled within the hours of 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Pay: $22/hour
Monday through Friday hours are flexible within first shift (6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and will be arranged based on the associate's availability and business needs.
Job Responsibilities
  • Rotates between functional duties as required to support Distribution operations.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and prepares stock truck orders for shipment.
  • Transports, stores, and retrieves finished goods and raw materials.
  • Processes customer returns as well as all internally produced and externally sourced materials for induction into the JJK system.
  • Replenishes product flow through racks.
  • Accurately maintains all documentation.
  • Ensures the accuracy of all inventory movements.
  • Performs order fulfillment functions, including picking, packing, and metering sales orders.
  • Completes assembly of standard and custom materials to meet production requirements.
  • Processes material requisitions for internal and external customers.
  • Prepares bills of lading for all outbound truck and pickup shipments as required.
  • Operates required warehouse equipment accordance with established standards.
  • Provides lead staff with timely updates regarding completion of daily workload and operational status.
  • Works safely around all people and equipment, contributing to a safe work environment by operating equipment properly and reporting safety incidents or concerns in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Provides operational support to Manufacturing and other business units as required.
  • Works overtime with minimal notice and adjusts work hours as necessary to accommodate business needs.

Qualifications
Experience:
  • 1+ year of material handling experience.
  • Experience operating lift truck and other material handling equipment.
  • Warehousing experience preferred.
  • Experience working with warehousing software applications preferred.

Education:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Other Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift up to 50-pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate lift truck and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to ride up in an order picker to height of 21 feet.
  • Manual dexterity skills.

Physical Requirements
Duties are performed primarily in a warehousing or industrial production setting and may include exposure to high noise levels, material handling equipment, seasonal weather conditions, and various types of industrial machinery. The use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection (where applicable), safety glasses, and steel toe footwear, is mandatory.
