Responsibilities & Expectations:

We are seeking a reliable, physically fit, and safe G-Class Driver to manage a dynamic, part-time schedule. Operating out of Stoney Creek, you will spend some days handling quick local warehouse transfers and other days executing long-distance, multi-stop regional delivery loops across Southwestern Ontario.

 

Weekly Schedule Breakdown:

●        3-4 Days a Week Mon-Fri (4-Hour Shifts): Local warehouse-to-warehouse transfers. You will shuttle inventory, goods, and boxes between our local facilities.

●        1–2 Days a Week Mon-Fri  (8 to 9-Hour Shifts): Long-distance regional delivery routes. These days involve driving to various locations and making multiple delivery and pickup stops along the way.

 

Core Responsibilities:

●        Safely operate a company-provided Ford Transit cargo van in highway, rural, and urban traffic conditions.

●        Perform run between two warehouse locations, picking and scanning jobs to and from each location.

●        Manually load and unload the van at warehouses and client sites, regularly handling boxes and items weighing up to 50 lbs.

●        Efficiently navigate diverse regional corridors, ensuring on-time delivery across multiple stops per run.

●        Run long-distance, full-day routes covering destinations as far as Windsor, Sarnia, Kincardine, and the Port Dover area.

●        Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections (fluids, tires, brakes, lights) and keep accurate logs of your deliveries.

●        Stay in clear communication with the home dispatch/warehouse team regarding any highway traffic delays (e.g., Hwy 401/403).

●        Assist with packing, staging, or preparing orders prior to dispatch when needed

Qualifications and Competencies:

●        License: Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ Driver’s License with an excellent safety record, Reach truck license.

●        Abstract: Must provide a clean 3-year uncertified Ontario Driver’s Abstract prior to hire.

●        Physical Fitness: Must be capable of repeatedly lifting, stacking, and carrying boxes up to 50 lbs throughout a shift.

●        Driving Experience: Familiarity driving commercial vehicles  (e.g. cargo vans, sprinter vans, or cube trucks).

●        Navigation Skills: High comfort level handling multi-lane freeways (Hwy 401/403) as well as regional/rural two-lane roads (Hwy 6, Hwy 21).

●        Schedule Flexibility: High reliability for the set hours, with the flexibility to handle occasional traffic delays on long-distance days.

Pay Rate Details: $21.00 - 23.00 Hourly (Based Upon Experience)
