Job description

LOGISTICS/OPS SPECIALIST

Role will report to the Company's Operations Manager. This is a part-time position.

Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely. Processes orders and oversees cycle of order fulfillment for stores and ecommerce.
Logistics Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another
  • Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay
  • Receives products and coordinates delivery
  • Prepares loads for shipment
  • Takes steps to avoid quality control issues
  • Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
  • Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage appropriate inventory levels of centralized warehouse by ensuring the timely placement of orders. Tasks include coordinate receipt of incoming shipments and continuous refinement of inventory management process.
  • Lead Ops in fulfillment and production of standard prep items such as tea dose bags, ecommerce orders, and proprietary syrups.
  • Communicate essential information to cross-functional teams in a clear and timely manner, maintaining confidentiality where appropriate.
  • Over time, serve as point-person for all major purchasing decisions including procuring new vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of operations or logistics experience and/or related experience and training.
  • Proven and on-going ability to control costs through consistent improvements and optimization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention-to-detail with a bias toward time management/efficiency mindset
  • Competency and working knowledge of quality assurance and quality management principles
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, problem solve, using sound judgment and procedural mindset
