Searching for candidates in Clackamas, Multonomah, and Washington Counties

Better Together Supports (BTS) is looking for individuals who have a heart for the IDD community. We staff DSP’s directly into the homes of our clients where support is delivered. This means we need you to be creative, supportive, and able to make decisions on your own. We need you to be yourself so that the goals our clients have can be achieved. We will support you in achieving this with clear communication, sincere inclusion, and the tools you need to make decisions about your own future as well.

Required Attributes:

At least 18 years old

Legally eligible to work in the United States demonstrated (proof of eligibility required)

Experience is preferred but not necessary

Hold current and valid driver’s license with current and valid automobile insurance

Hold current and valid First Aid/CPR certification

Be able to pass a background check per Oregon Administrative Rules

Be literate and capable of understanding written and oral orders

Be able to communicate with individuals, health care providers, case managers, and appropriate others

Be able to understand and execute documented goals for a client

Be able to assist clients in community and home based social settings

Be able to respond to emergency situations at all times services are being delivered

Be able to use a phone, computer, or other device for clocking in/out and writing progress notes

Be able to maintain 12 hours of continuing education units annually

Be able to lift 25-50 lbs.

Be able to walk continuously for extended periods of time

Be able to react quickly and appropriately to an eloping client
