Join our Health and Wellness team at the South Coast Metro Family YMCA! As a part-time Health & Wellness team member, you will have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve by fostering genuine connections, delivering exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching space where every interaction truly matters.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and empower members through Mat Pilates and Barre instruction as they work toward achieving their health and wellness goals. Through these group classes you will play a meaningful role in supporting participants on their wellness journey while fostering a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will contribute to the energy, growth, and success of a dynamic and expanding wellness program.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
  • Education & Experience:
    • 2-to-4-year college degree in Physical Fitness, Kinesiology, or related field required.
      • May provide Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification in place of degree requirement.
    • 2 years' experience in fitness industry preferred.
    • Experience teaching line dancing classes and leading participants of varying skill levels desired.
    • Related background in health and/or fitness.
  • Required Certifications:
    • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
    • Mat Pilates
    • Barre
