DESCRIPTION:

RadiologicTechnologist (X-Ray) Part-time

  • $38.00 - $42.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Large, primary care office
  • Limited scheduled hours

  • 10% Shift differential (any hours worked Monday - Friday after 5pm and all weekend hours)

Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protect patient, self and other staff from radiation and other safety hazards.
  • Select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis using the principles of ALARA and adjusts and sets radiographic controls.
  • Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety to include proper infection control procedures for the work area.
  • Evaluate radiographs and repeat as needed.
  • Process radiographs using the operating system and send images.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to verify orders, document x-ray releases, route imaging reports to patient charts, and other associated patient care functions.
  • Work with radiologist and imaging center staff to coordinate the exchange of images and information for optimal patient care and result reporting.
  • Prepare CD copies for patients and other specialty/imaging centers.
  • As needed, prepare the work area for stock and cleanliness while starting up all x-ray or computer units as per department protocol.

Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) Education/experience:

  • Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in science/radiologic technology or equivalent certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program
  • One to three years related experience and/or training as a radiologic technologist in either a hospital or a medical practice environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • New York State license in diagnostic radiography
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required

If hired as Graduate Technologist a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within 90 days of graduation and must pass licensing exam within 120 days of beginning employment

We are a Family Oriented Medical practice with Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Diabetic Educators. CNY Family Care takes a team approach to meeting the medical needs of our patients through compassion, respect, and professional care. We are available for our patients when they need us. We partner with our patients to provide a proactive approach to medical care, which improves their quality of life.
One of our main goals at CNY Family Care, LLP is to provide all of our patients with continuous and comprehensive health care. As part of this care model, we ask all of our patients to select one personal physician. This PCP/Primary Care Physician will maintain an ongoing relationship with the patient and will then always be in charge of their care. They will oversee the care team that consists of nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Diabetic Educators who might interact with the patients when they visit the office. Our care team will work towards ensuring that the patients receive the appropriate age-related preventative testing and treatment as well as the latest evidence-based treatment (proven and documented) for their individual medical condition(s).
We continue to grow and expand our services in order to meet the demands of our patient population.
