Office Setup & Furniture Assembly (Part-Time / Flexible)

Vantage Mental Health

Maple Grove, MN • On-site

$20/hr

Part-time

Job description

Location: Twin Cities metro. Work happens at our Stillwater, Saint Anthony, and Edina, and Maple Grove location.

Job type: Part-time, casual, hourly. You set your own days and hours, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation: $20 per hour. Part-time, casual, and hourly, with flexible hours you help set.

About Vantage

Vantage Mental Health is a clinician-led nonprofit outpatient mental health practice serving the Twin Cities metro, with clinics in Stillwater, Saint Anthony, and Edina, a new location opening in Maple Grove, and telehealth across Minnesota. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, not a private equity backed group, and we are growing. As we open and improve our spaces, we need reliable hands to help get them ready.

About the role

This is a hands-on, flexible role focused almost entirely on assembling furniture and helping with small office improvements. Think desks, chairs, shelving, tables, and filing cabinets, plus the occasional light setup task. Most of the work is straightforward assembly from a box and a set of instructions. What matters to us is that it is done well and done efficiently, so this is a role for someone who is genuinely good at building things and takes pride in the result.

The work comes in bunches. There is a lot to do right before we open a new clinic, like Maple Grove, and again as we add capacity at our existing sites. Between those pushes the work is lighter and more occasional, a few pieces here or an improvement there. You can ramp your hours up when there is a lot going on and scale back when things are quiet.

How the hours work

You set your own schedule. Days, evenings, or weekends all work, as long as the job gets done on a reasonable timeline. This is a great fit for a high school or college student, or anyone who wants flexible, part-time work that flexes with their life. Some weeks may be busy and others may have little or nothing, and we will be clear about what is coming up so you can plan around it. Because you decide when you work, the role rewards someone who is highly motivated and self-directed.

Because our clinics are spread across the metro, you need to be able to get yourself to whichever location you are assigned. You must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license, along with your own reliable transportation.

Who we are looking for

  • Genuinely good at assembly and proud of it. You have put a lot of things together, you do it well, and you work efficiently. This is not a fit for someone who has never assembled furniture and would lose steam halfway through.
  • You actually enjoy this work. If opening a box of parts and a fresh set of IKEA-style instructions sounds like a good afternoon, you will fit right in.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed. You structure your own time, keep yourself moving, and deliver quality work without someone looking over your shoulder.
  • Reliable and responsive. When you say you will be there, you are.
  • Comfortable with basic hand tools and able to work independently once you know the task.
  • At least 16 years old, with a valid, unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation to reach any of our Twin Cities metro locations.
  • Students welcome. The role is built to flex up or down with your schedule.

Compensation

This is a part-time, casual, hourly position paying $20 per hour. You are paid for the hours you work, and taxes are handled through our regular payroll, so there is no special paperwork for you to set up on your end. Hours vary with the work available, and you have real flexibility to decide when you work.

How to apply

If this sounds like a good fit, apply through this posting. Tell us a little about yourself, your general availability, and any assembly or hands-on work you have done. We are glad to start with a quick conversation.
