Join a5-star rated hospice team dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care. Hospice of Lenawee is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time after-hours (nights & weekends) position supporting patients and families in their homes.

This role is ideal for a nurse who values autonomy, meaningful connections, and providing comfort during the end-of-life journey.

Schedule

  • Part-time (36 hours per biweekly pay period)
  • Nights and weekends
  • After-hours/on-call responsibilities required

Position Details

  • Field-based role providing care in patient homes throughout Lenawee County and surrounding areas (35-mile service area)
  • Travel required (mileage reimbursed)
  • Must be able to depart from current location within 15 minutes of receiving a notification of patient need. If unable, contacts Supervisor on Call, as appropriate.

What You'll Do

  • Provide skilled, compassionate hospice nursing care in patient homes
  • Manage pain and symptoms to ensure patient comfort
  • Educate and support patients and families during end-of-life care
  • Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Perform hospice admissions as needed
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers, spiritual advisors, and care teams
  • Support Hospice Home staff when necessary
