Job Summary
The College of Coastal Georgia Department of Mathematics and Data Science seeks qualified applicants for the position of Part Time Lecturer in the area of Mathematics. Applicants will be reviewed on a continuing basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities -
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics courses contingent to the needs of the College. Essential duties include: maintaining office hours, preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, completing required trainings, teaching at the Brunswick campus, Camden Center, or other approved site in either face-to-face, hybrid, or online format. Other duties include submission of grades and attendance reports. A commitment to high quality instruction and student success is expected.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Successful completion of at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics
Required Experience
- Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- MS or PHD in Mathematics or related fields with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
Preferred Experience
- Online teaching
Proposed Salary
$700 per credit hour for Masters prepared and $900 per credit for Doctorate prepared
