This position maximizes revenue and creates value by providing excellent customer service, including effective reservation sales and handling all guest accounts accurately.
A unique component of this role includes supporting our housekeeping team as a Room Attendant when needed to ensure our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Hosting
- Welcome and check-in guests in a friendly, efficient manner while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Act as an "enthusiastic steward of hospitality," providing guests with an "insider's scoop" on Asheville's best local spots.
- Manage the reservations process, monitor emails, and handle all guest inquiries or complaints with professionalism.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the complimentary breakfast buffet and coffee service.
Housekeeping Support (Room Attendant)
- Perform Room Attendant duties as assigned, including stripping linens, cleaning bathrooms (sinks, tubs, toilets), and vacuuming.
- Ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned to specified standards to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Replenish guest supplies and verify that all room features are in good working order.
Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
