About Us
We are a small, tight-knit landscape architecture boutique based in Glenview, Illinois. We work on a mix of commercial, municipal, and institutional projects all over the Chicago area, including schools, parks, churches, and public spaces. Because we are a small team, you won't just be stuck in a corner doing redlines. You will get real, hands-on experience and work directly with everyone in the office.
What You'll Do
We need an organized and detail-oriented individual to join us on-site to support our design team with project coordination and clerical tasks. On any given week, you'll be:
- Helping us organize, log, and maintain physical and digital project files, site layouts, and construction sets.
- Inputting project data, material counts, and technical specifications into our internal databases.
- Preparing presentation folders, printing sets, and assembling materials for client meetings.
- Maintaining our product vendor database and keeping our physical material and office library organized.
- Assisting project managers with basic administrative design support to push projects forward.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current students or recent graduates looking for professional office experience are welcome to apply.
- Excellent organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail.
- High proficiency with computers, including basic spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).
- Familiarity or comfort navigating design files (like AutoCAD or Adobe formats) is a plus, but not required-we will train the right person.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude.
- You are organized, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.
What's in it for You
- Compensation: Competitive hourly pay starting at $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Workplace Structure: This is a hybrid role based out of our Glenview office, blending in-office collaboration and drafting days with flexible remote work.
- Schedule: Part-time or full-time flexible hours designed to seamlessly accommodate your studio and class schedules.
- Growth: True mentorship, a look behind the scenes of how a boutique firm runs, and real project work to add directly to your professional portfolio.
