Location: St. Joseph's North – Lutz, FL Facility: BayCare Health System, Laboratory Services – SJHN Shift: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Night Shift) Schedule: Part-Time | Every Other Weekend Status: Non-Exempt

Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will perform essential diagnostic laboratory testing and quality control procedures that directly support patient care. This role involves moderate‐ to high‐complexity testing as well as oversight of laboratory systems, equipment, and supplies in a fast‐paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic testing and quality control in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Prepare reagents and accurately report laboratory results
  • Review and oversee moderate‐ to high‐complexity laboratory testing
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory computer applications
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and inventories
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
  • Collaborate effectively with laboratory and clinical teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education – Required

  • Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific field

Education – Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field

Certification & Licensure – Required

  • State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

Experience – Required

  • Clinical laboratory experience
  • Minimum of four (4) months of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
