Job Description
The Ballpark at League City is a premier recreational facility offering a diverse range of activities for youth and adults. Our facility boasts bat and ball turf fields, indoor arenas for soccer and flag football, sand volleyball courts, and a vibrant atmosphere with two restaurants serving a full menu and alcohol beverages. In addition to sport events, the facility also hosts special events, private gatherings, and provide a hub for community engagement and active lifestyles.As a Bartender, you will be providing excellent customer service to ballpark customers by preparing a diverse range of beverages, creating an inviting environment while ensuring safety and compliance.
Job Functions
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks to ballpark customers.
  • Follow safe handling standards for stocking beverages and related supplies, rotating and storing products for consumption, which includes pulling expired products from inventory. Follow all safety and health policies and procedures such as the use of protective equipment, proper refrigeration, food handling, etc.
  • Maintain daily inventories.
  • Operate work related machines, tools, and equipment such as the register, credit card machine, and kitchen equipment.
  • Process card and mobile payments from customers and ensure charges are accurate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable work area by performing cleaning tasks in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and alcohol service laws, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff members.
  • Performs related work as required.

Qualifications
Education, Certification, License and Experience
  • Due to TABC requirements, minimum age for consideration is 18.
  • Valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification or obtain by start date
  • Minimum of one year of bartending experience

Other Qualifications or Requirements
  • Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends.

Any combination of education and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position, may be substituted at the discretion of the Human Resources department.
