Job Title: Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2027 Job Category: Intern/Co-op Time Type: Part time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Part-Time On-Call Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: * * * The Opportunity: We are seeking aspiring engineers to join our team for a summer to remember learning about synthetic aperture radar, low observables, electro-optical techniques, and much more. As an intern with CACI's Radar and Sensor Technologies Portfolio, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing radar capabilities and working in space emerging technology. You will learn about these technologies from the experts that discovered these capabilities.

By joining our team, you will be part of teams building innovative solutions to support government users. Your strong technical skills and passion for innovation will be instrumental in supporting our customers and their missions to keep us safe. Responsibilities: In this position you may be responsible for: Taking algorithm definitions and prototypes and converting them into software applications.

Learning about radar phenomenology and algorithm implementation. Collaborating with other developers including participating in and leading code reviews and technical exchanges. Building and improving on automated test and verification software and tools.

Learning to write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. Participating in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Updating legacy code into modern languages under the supervision of technical mentors and integrating that software into our software stacks.

Qualifications: Required: Willingness and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Working toward a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field. Interest in learning new remote sensing technologies.

Programming skills in C++, Java, Rust, CUDA, or Python. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work within a team environment to advance large software development packages by taking on and completing tasks independently.

Desired: Programming skills in an additional language. Familiarity developing in Linux and/or in a cloud environment (AWS preferred). Knowledge of or background in radar or electro-optical fields.

Academic experience in digital signal processing. Scrum/Agile Development knowledge and experience with Jira. Experience writing software implementing algorithms.
