Job description

Role Overview

As the Part-Time Facility Manager, you will oversee the operational health of our facility, perform routine maintenance and repairs, coordinate and supervise external vendors, liaise with vendors, and support event setup/teardown. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and functional church facility (buildings and grounds)
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise external vendors for specialized work
  • Manage facility safety programs, including emergency procedures and inspections
  • Oversee access control, security systems, and lighting maintenance
  • Assist with event setup/teardown for worship services, weddings, and community events
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request replacements as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and church policies
  • Track work orders and maintain documentation for facilities projects
  • Communicate effectively with church leadership, staff, volunteers, and congregants

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in facilities management, building operations, or a related role (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; dependable and punctual
