Job description
This is an onsite, year-round internship in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate would begin working part-time hours beginning in August.
In this role, you will...
- Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics
- Maintain the Defense Panel list.
- Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard.
- Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation.
- Work directly with Divisional Claim managers to ensure optimization of operational metrics.
- Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations.
- Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits
- Validate monthly vendor reports and load into claim management system. Correspond with vendors.
- Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests
- Take on other projects as assigned.
- Participate in company and community activities.
We are looking for candidates with...
- Active enrollment in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science Bachelor's degree program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Insurance knowledge (helpful but not required).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Year-round availability to work in the Fort Wayne office 15-20 hours/week during the school year and summer.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.
