They may assist with selecting color schemes, furniture, lighting, and other decorative elements to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of homes or businesses. Part time interior designers often work flexible schedules, making this role ideal for those seeking work-life balance or additional income. Clear communication and effective time management are essential, as you may need to coordinate meetings or site visits around your limited availability. Many firms support remote collaboration tools, making it easier to contribute to design discussions and share updates even when not on-site. You don’t just choose colors and finishes; you solve problems before construction begins.

You help homeowners visualize what’s possible, guide them through important decisions, and create beautiful, functional spaces that are practical to build. You take ownership of every project and believe great design should improve the way people live.

You’re the type of person who:

  • Earns clients’ trust and makes the design process enjoyable.
  • Balances creativity with budgets, timelines, and real-world construction.
  • Anticipates problems before they happen.
  • Loves organization and attention to detail.
  • Communicates clearly with homeowners, vendors, and teammates.
  • Takes ownership and continuously looks for ways to improve.

Who We Are

Pottstown Construction Company is a design-build remodeling firm specializing in kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, and interior home renovations. We believe exceptional remodeling starts with exceptional design, and we’re looking for someone who shares that mindset.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead homeowners through the design and selections process.
  • Develop floor plans and space-planning solutions.
  • Create 3D renderings and presentation materials.
  • Specify cabinetry, tile, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, paint colors, and finish selections.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with estimating and production to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
  • Help keep design projects on schedule.
  • Present designs and revisions to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
  • Work both remotely and on-site as project needs require.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in residential remodeling or interior design.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen, bathroom, and interior remodeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with design software such as Chief Architect, SketchUp, Revit, 2020, or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to continuously improve.
  • Ability to work independently from home and collaborate effectively on-site.

Schedule

  • Part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time role.
  • Monday through Friday.
  • Hybrid schedule consisting of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities.
  • Specific weekly hours and on-site requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

If you’re looking for a place where your creativity, organization, and leadership can make a meaningful impact, we’d love to meet you.
