Description
Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2026-2027, $2,053 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Other Conditions:
  • For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
  • Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach assigned courses in anatomy and physiology (introductory, 100 level Human Anatomy and Physiology I and/or II Lecture and/or Laboratory courses).
  2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  4. Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
  5. As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
  6. Educate students via active and collaborative learning and flipped classroom style of teaching.
  7. Participate in course assessment and program assessment and be willing to make improvements/changes in teaching.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in (a) Human Anatomy and Physiology, (b) Exercise Science/Kinesiology or any Medical, Health or Biological Science with nine (9) credits graduate work in vertebrate anatomy and/or physiology.
  2. Demonstrate teaching effectiveness.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. College teaching experience.
  2. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment.
  3. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment.
