Position Title: Instructor โ€“ Vermont EMS Academy (VEMSA)
Location: Waterbury, VT - VEMSA Satelite Location
Status: Part-Time
Pay: $30 - $35/hour dependent on course instructor role
About Us
The Vermont EMS Academy (VEMSA), a division of Rescue Inc, is committed to delivering high-quality modern EMS education across Vermont. As we expand training opportunities at our Waterbury satellite campus, we are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Instructors to join our growing team. This role will support the delivery of AHA courses (ACLS, PALS, BLS) and NAEMT programs, helping to strengthen Vermont's prehospital workforce.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed NREMT Provider
  • Current AHA Instructor (ACLS, PALS or BLS) or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire
  • Any NAEMT provider certification within 18 months, with the ability to obtain instructor status within 6 months
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred
  • Must be able to meet all functional job requirements
Schedule amp; Commitment
  • Part-time position
  • Flexible schedule based on course needs, including some evenings and weekends
Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver ACLS, PALS, BLS and NAEMT courses in alignment with VEMSA standards
  • Assist with updating, refining and maintaining course curriculum to meet state and national guidelines
