Job description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. 
 
We are seeking a Part Time Delivery Driver to work for our Vaseful Flowers and Gifts Enterprise in Edison, NJ! The Delivery Driver loads and transports arrangements to customer’s homes, business, municipal buildings, hospitals and any location required by the business, using a company vehicle. The Delivery Driver also acts as a stand in for program transportation as needed.
 
Starting pay is $16.00/hour 
 
Responsibilities
  • Loads and transports flowers arrangements to delivery sites, as indicated by business needs
  • Performs any tasks needed by shop involving driving, including but not limited to bank visits, supply pick up or delivery and transportation of consumers to and from homes
  • Attends staff meetings as determined by supervisor
  • Attend any necessary trainings
  • Must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • The ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in a crisis situation
  • The ability to interact with a wide range of people
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with consumers
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  •  Employee travels utilizing  company provided vehicles
  • Frequent lifting, stretching and other physical exertion
  • Will be exposed to various plants and pollens
