Job description

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Construction Inspector to contribute to our Municipal Infrastructure projects on a part-time, direct basis in the Haddon Heights, NJ area.
Hours: Monday - Friday (First Shift)
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform construction inspections and material testing for stormwater management facilities, roads, land developments, wastewater collection & conveyance systems, water distribution & treatment facilities, as well as other infrastructure.
  • Perform constructability plan reviews.
  • Assist with construction administration.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • At least two years of professional experience working in Field-based roles, preferably in Construction.

This person will be expected to work in the field, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in an Engineering or technical field of study (especially Civil Engineering Technology) is a plus!
  • Experience working with Municipal Infrastructure / Wet Utility projects is a plus!
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs, especially with MS-Office (e.g.: Word, Outlook, etc.), is expected; exposure to technical programs (especially ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation) is a plus!
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $30 - $35 (per hour)
