With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI makes it easy to access care. Our headquarters is in Park Ridge, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Our clinical services include advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics provide same day care for orthopedic injuries. Comprehensive care offered all in one place enables physicians, therapists and staff to work closely together, so that patients and families achieve better outcomes. Collaborative care is also more efficient. In many cases, IBJI services are substantially less expensive than those provided by large healthcare systems and emergency rooms.
Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA) plays a vital support role in our organization. In general, this individual is responsible for providing professional patient care and assistance to the Physician/Surgeon and the clinical staff. The Physician Assistant will be primarily involved with direct patient care in support of the physicians of the practice. Assists the physician in the outpatient clinic and hospital settings following protocols established by the physician and written practice guidelines to facilitate effective medical care and patient safety. The person in this position functions in the multiple settings (operating room, clinic) under the supervision of their assigned physician; may perform activities which involve an initial evaluation and treatment of the patient's condition, as defined in the scope of the State of Illinois standards and the Physician Assistant Practice Act.
Description
IBJI is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant for weekend coverage for our Hinsdale division. This role requires alternating or every third Saturday and Sunday, with shifts running from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Responsibilities include covering the on-call schedule for our physicians at Amita Hinsdale and LaGrange Hospitals.
Hours & Pay:
  • Hours: 10-20 per week (schedule varies with rounding)
  • Pay: $75/hour

  • Providing continuity of care for our patients
  • Performing hospital rounds
  • Providing hospital consults
  • Assisting in surgery

Requirements
Position Requirements:
  • Masters Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Must have a current Illinois PA license
  • NCCPA certified
  • Previous Orthopaedic experience preferred

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
