Summary:
The Field Specialist is a customer-facing representative of our product and dispensary brands in Maryland. This position will be responsible for engaging with the community to provide education and answer questions through in-store demos and events and communicating in-store promotions. Must have excellent time management skills and be willing to work some evenings and weekends. This role will have a geographic focus on the Baltimore, MD area. 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for representing our brands and products in community, retail, and marketing events.
  • Become a brand expert, able to answer questions about product benefits and provide product knowledge.
  • Build brand awareness and loyalty by creating memorable patient/customer experiences.
  • Must set-up and breakdown tables, tents, swag items and marketing collateral in-store and other events.
  • Manage the distribution/inventory of marketing swag and collateral for events and giveaways.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local community partners.
  • Manage and adhere to established schedules in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while ensuring accuracy and follow through.
  • Partner with and maintain productive working relationships with the dispensary, wholesale, and manufacturing teams.
  • Works productively with internal cross-functional teams as well as with external partners.
  • Majority of the work will geographically focus on the Baltimore area, with some state-wide travel required
  • Manage in-store displays and keep product marketing displays up to date with accounts.
  • Must attend scheduled meetings and maintain good communications in real time while on site.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a marketing, agency or promotional setting
  • Experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Must be enthusiastic, engaging, cannabis-savvy, well organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to communicate in an informative and professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external agency partners.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and be results-oriented.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts; 
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; 
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds; 
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day; 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time; 
  • Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions: 
    • General office environment; 
    • Extended computer usage; 
    • Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
