Job description

Laurel Ridge is one of Oregon’s oldest family-owned and operated wineries. We are looking for a friendly, welcoming personality to join our Hospitality Team as a Part-time host/server’s assistant. The primary function of this role is to support our Tasting Room Associates as they create a memorable experience for guests. This position plays an integral role in the flow, timeliness and high-end service goal of our Hospitality Program. This is an entry level position, perfect for someone looking to get their feet wet in the industry or looking for a fun, interactive part-time job. 16+, prior customer service appreciated, but not required.

Hours

  • 5-15 hours per week, mainly Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays (we ask a minimum of 1 day a week of consistent availability - as an example is available every Saturday.)

Responsibilities

  • Answering the phones and making reservations
  • Greeting customers and making them feel welcome
  • Seat guests according to the seating chart
  • Bus, clean and reset tables
  • Prepare and serve cheese boards and simple food items
  • Wash dishes and buff stemware
  • Monitor tasting areas to ensure safety, sanitation and tidiness and take action on areas that need improvement

• Assist in restocking wine and handling merchandise including organizing, tagging merch, stocking, etc

• Accurately pack outgoing orders and assist the tasting room associates with tasks related to serving and selling wine


Compensation


• Hourly wage DOE plus a tip share from sales associates, wine and merchandise discount


Qualifications

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to listen and strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work weekends and the occasional evening shift
  • Must have or be willing to get a Food Handlers card
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs 
  • Must be able to and stand on your feet for long periods of time and walk at least 10,000 steps per shift
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, push, and crouch on a daily basis
