Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time host to join the MacRostie Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the Director of Hospitality and Events, this role is responsible for being engaged to maximize seating and provide world class hospitality and service. Responsibilities include managing the front desk and all associated duties, including but not limited to: greeting, seating, breaks, restocking, etc. This role is based in Healdsburg, CA and is a part-time, non-exempt position, working 20hr./week, Saturdays & Sundays. The incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least two years of hospitality experience, preferably in a high volume setting
  • Minimum High School Diploma or education or experience equivalent
  • Some tasting room experience or wine education preferred
  • Knowledge about Sonoma County and local landmarks, wineries and restaurants
  • Organized
  • Data Entry and collection
  • Proficient computer competency that includes data entry, mastery of seating software (preferably Tock) and
  • POS systems
  • Great customer service and polished communication skills

Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assign seating and arrange floor
  • Oversee all functions of Front Desk
  • Assigning tasks to Front Desk Employees
  • Responsible for Estate House pickups
  • Maintain a clean environment both in the front of the house
    as well as back of the house
  • Daily inventory of wines used on site as samples
  • Responsible for training all new support employees
  • Verify daily tasting appointments via phone call to guest;
    responsible for Front Desk phone during business hours
  • Communicate MacRostie hospitality standards to guests
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the history of the brand rand and physical property
  • Guest remediation as necessary
  • Responsible for collecting and recording guest data, both new and existing
  • Processing and upselling orders through POS as needed
  • Consistently demonstrate and role model our values and behaviors
  • Understand and add value to our achievement based culture
  • Contribute to team culture and engagement plans
