CLUB ROOM is hiring for a HOST/HOSTESS
Fidelity Hotel is an adaptive reuse project located at 1940 E. 6th Street in the historic 103-year-old Baker Building. Fidelity Hotel has 97 guest rooms & suites, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtfully curated art. The property features a full-service upscale restaurant and bar, Club Room. The property also features event & meeting spaces and a private dining room. Fidelity Hotel is an homage to Cleveland's long-standing ideals. Our unwavering dedication to the city's soul is expressed through the design, brand, art, amenities, and community programs - all carefully selected to be additive to and reflective of the innovation & creativity that makes Cleveland so special
What you'll do:
  • Be attentive to the entrance and aware of guests entering and exiting the building
  • Offer greetings to guests upon entering and exiting the space; make each feel important and welcome
  • View guest books before arrival and create guest profiles that we can utilize to enhance their experience
  • Liaise with your supervisor to plot reservations and create seating plans
  • Escort guests to their tables and communicate reservation notes to appropriate team members
  • Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request
  • Ensure the atmosphere is warm and inviting and work areas are clean and organized
  • Clean and stock washrooms and work areas according to standards
  • Clear + reset tables as needed and assist with function set-up and break down when requested
  • Maintain an awareness of the pace of meals in the dining room to anticipate turnover and provide proper anticipated wait times for guests
  • Update the reservation system on the current status of each table's dining experience
  • Obtain knowledge of the outlet's neighborhood to direct guests toward parking and provide recommendations for current events, entertainment, and additional dining experiences
  • Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
  • Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the work area
  • Be available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directed.
