Job description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician at St. Frances Cabrini Academy is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep while supporting the daily operations of the school and ensuring that all buildings and grounds are properly maintained in accordance with school standards and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address maintenance, safety, and facility-related concerns.
  • Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of furniture, equipment, and facilities for school events and activities.
  • Monitor building systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and security systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs and services.
  • Support the mission and values of St. Frances Cabrini Academy and Catholic education.
