MSD is looking for an Part-Time HVAC Technician to join our team!

Up to 29 hours a week! Work schedule Flexible!

The HVAC Technician performs a variety of service activities at client locations on Commercial HVAC related equipment. The HVAC Technician specializes in HVAC  equipment and can diagnose and repair various problems. The HVAC Technician’s focus on client care ensures the client is afforded the best possible options and service at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of field experience in HVAC/R 
  • Experience with supermarket or grocery store refrigeration experience a plus 
  • Industrial, commercial, and/or institutional HVAC/R experience
  • Detailed understanding of Commercial HVAC/R technologies
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required 
  • Valid, unencumbered US Driver’s license
  • Possess basic HVAC/Refrigeration tools
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties:

  • Client Care - ensuring customer satisfaction with the beginning, middle, and ending product
  • Diagnose and repair client equipment concerns
  • Conduct Point-of-Sale work for quotes of service i.e., unit replacements, add-on services, etc.
  • Submit detailed paperwork for each job conducted with all appropriate information complete
  • Coordinate with Service Dispatch to determine appropriate order of assigned calls
  • Maintain technical proficiency by attending classes/training/etc., as necessary
  • Complete quality control inspections of installations/service contracts
  • Request replacement parts, supplies from appropriate personnel
  • Perform special/complicated procedures/repairs independently 
  • Maintain “On-Call” eligibility in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Make every reasonable effort to ensure safe practices and get every employee home safely
