Position Description

The part-time RN Training Instructor will be primarily responsible for teaching the approved Personal Care Aide and/or Home Health Aide training curriculum at our training school in Gravesend Brooklyn.

When class is not in session, this individual will conduct educational in-services for our Personal Care Aides and Home Health Aides, as well as administer HHA/PCA competency evaluations.

All training will be conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Job Duties

  • Provide related instruction and supervise students.
  • Proctor and grade tests.
  • Document students' progress and complete all required forms and reports in their entirety.
  • Prepare and submit a course of study, including program objectives, student performance objectives, and lesson plans.
  • Perform other duties related to this position as requested by the director, program coordinator, and company management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • New York State licensed Registered Nurse, in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN providing direct patient care at a CHHA, LHCSA, or Hospice Program
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual preferred, but not required

Schedule

Job Type: Part-Time

Minimum of 10 hours per week

Maximum of 28 hours per week

Weekdays or weekends; we will work with the candidate's availability.

Hourly Rate: $52
