POSITION SUMMARY

The Part-Time Clinical Director (RN) provides clinical oversight and ensures all home care services delivered in Maryland meet state regulatory, clinical, and quality standards. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, supervising caregivers, reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance with Maryland Medicaid regulations, and supporting the launch and early development of the Maryland service area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for personal care and home care services across Maryland.
  • Ensure compliance with Maryland Department of Health (MDH) regulations, Medicaid waiver programs, and documentation requirements.
  • Complete initial nursing assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, and ongoing clinical evaluations.
  • Develop, approve, and update individualized care plans based on client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Review all clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Maryland standards.
  • Supervise caregivers, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to care plans and clinical expectations.
  • Respond to incidents, client concerns, service issues, and escalations with clinical judgment and timely follow-through.
  • Conduct caregiver skills training, competency evaluations, and orientation support as needed.
  • Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development.
  • Maintain precise electronic documentation of all clinical activities and care-related decisions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ASN accepted with strong equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Home Care, Home Health, Long-Term Care, or related healthcare settings.
  • Thorough understanding of Maryland home care regulations, Medicaid waiver programs, and clinical compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise caregivers and ensure quality of care.
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to conduct field visits as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Clinical Director, Director of Nursing (DON), RN Supervisor, or similar clinical leadership role.

  • Familiarity with EVV systems, Medicaid MCO processes, and Maryland regulatory audits.

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) helpful but not required.
