Position Summary
All American Home Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Clinical Director / Clinical Manager for our growing Maryland operations.
This position is ideal for a clinical leader with experience in home care, home health, case management, quality assurance, compliance, and staff development. The Clinical Director will provide oversight of clinical services, ensure regulatory compliance, support caregiver performance, conduct assessments and supervisory visits, and help establish strong clinical processes as the Maryland office continues to grow. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in building and shaping a growing home care operation while maintaining a strong focus on quality patient care and regulatory excellence.
Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Oversight
  • Provide clinical oversight for all home care services delivered throughout Maryland.
  • Serve as the primary clinical resource for caregivers, clients, families, and operational staff.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, compliant, and patient-centered care.
  • Provide clinical guidance regarding patient needs, service plans, and caregiver performance.

Assessments & Care Planning
  • Complete initial nursing assessments and reassessments.
  • Conduct supervisory visits in accordance with Maryland regulations.
  • Develop, review, and update individualized care plans.
  • Evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate services.
  • Ensure care plans remain compliant and aligned with client goals.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and performance improvement activities.
  • Conduct audits and chart reviews as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Maryland Department of Health regulations and agency policies.
  • Assist with survey preparation, corrective action plans, and regulatory reviews.

Caregiver Supervision & Development
  • Supervise caregivers and monitor adherence to care plans.
  • Conduct caregiver competency evaluations and annual assessments.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, and clinical training programs.
  • Provide coaching and ongoing education to caregivers and staff.
  • Assist with performance improvement and corrective action when necessary.

Clinical Operations
  • Investigate incidents, complaints, service concerns, and clinical escalations.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to resolve client and caregiver concerns.
  • Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support staffing and operational decisions through clinical expertise.

Growth & Process Development
  • Assist with developing clinical workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Help establish best practices for Maryland operations.
  • Partner with leadership to support office growth and operational success.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Maryland.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Home Care, Home Health, Hospice, Long-Term Care, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Experience conducting nursing assessments, reassessments, and care plan development.
  • Experience supervising clinical staff, caregivers, or healthcare personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout assigned service areas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Manager, Clinical Director, Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, Patient Care Manager, QA Nurse, RN Supervisor, or Home Health Manager.
  • Experience with Start of Care (SOC) assessments.
  • Experience with OASIS documentation and care planning.
  • Experience with quality assurance reviews and clinical audits.
  • Knowledge of Maryland home care regulations and Medicaid programs.
  • Experience training, mentoring, and developing clinical staff.
  • Experience supporting growing or startup healthcare operations.
