Job description

Psychologist - Veteran Disability Evaluations (1099, Part-Time)

 Location: Cheboygan, MI
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 day per week)
 Compensation: $600-$750 per day
 Employment Type: 1099 Contract
Exam Space Requirement: This position requires providers to have access to their own ADA-compliant exam room or office space. If you don't currently have a qualifying location but have potential options available, we still encourage you to apply or contact us-we'd be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out:

Step away from the demands of traditional clinical practice and enjoy a structured, low-stress environment with 1099 compensation, work-life balance, and built-in support.

Join a provider-led organization dedicated to serving our nation's Veterans while focusing on meaningful evaluations without the responsibilities of ongoing treatment management.

What You'll Do:

Conduct one-time psychological and behavioral health evaluations for Veterans as part of the disability claims process
Perform clinical interviews, mental health assessments, and comprehensive record reviews
Assess psychiatric and psychological conditions in support of Veteran disability evaluations
Work in a low-volume setting, typically seeing 1-5 Veterans per day
Complete documentation electronically through a secure platform
Receive fully provided technology, training, and clinical support

What You WON'T Do:

No ongoing therapy or counseling sessions
No treatment planning or long-term patient management
No prescribing responsibilities
No disability rating calculations or benefits determinations
No scheduling responsibilities or walk-in patients
No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities

Who We're Looking For:

Whether you are an experienced psychologist seeking a more flexible role or looking to transition into a lower-stress practice setting, this opportunity offers the ability to continue making a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.

Join a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting our nation's Veterans. Apply today!
