The Greenlee Lab seeks a part-time Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant to provide research support for cancer prevention and survivorship projects. This position is part-time requiring approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Dr. Greenlee's research program uses both clinical trials and observational studies to examine a broad range of lifestyle interventions (diet, physical activity, weight management) and Integrative therapies for cancer prevention and control, especially in under resourced and vulnerable populations. Our research interventions use a combination of behavioral strategies, including in-person and remote educational classes, electronic health communication, and physical activity trackers.  

Responsibilities
  • Develop patient data collection tools in REDCap for pilot and larger R01-scale studies
  • Provide input on data analysis issues related to study data collection
  • Perform data and database management, including data collection, entry, tracking, monitoring, cleaning, quality control, audits, and production of special and recurring reports.
  • Abstract patient data from medical records
  • Perform data collection via phone screenings and patient interviews according to IRB protocol
  • Perform data cleaning and data analysis using R statistical package
  • Assist with screening, consenting, enrolling, and tracking patients and their related data for studies as needed
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent college graduate
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in public health or related field
  • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Interest in nutrition and culinary sciences
  • Experience in health promotion
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using R statistical package
  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail

The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $48.09 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
