Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Job Description

What You’ll Do:
• Prepare patients for dental procedures by ensuring comfort and explaining what to expect during their visit.
• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
• Sterilize dental instruments and prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist and ensure all images are of diagnostic quality.
•Update patient records with information about treatments performed, procedures scheduled, and any concerns raised by patients.
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and guidance on oral hygiene and preventive practices.
• Prepare and mix dental materials such as fillings, impressions, and bonding agents as needed for procedures.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient communications, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.

Salary Range

Part-time $20 - $28 per hour

Salary based on Experience.

Requirements
  • Experienced Dental Assistant (3+ years)
  • Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a dental assistant preferred
• Familiarity with CURVES software/system is a plus
• Strong understanding of infection control and dental safety procedures

Preferences
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• CPR certification (preferred)
