Job description

Fairway Home Detailing is looking for a part-time SEO & Digital Marketing Specialist to help manage and improve our SEO, local search, and related online marketing efforts.

This could be a great opportunity for someone early in their SEO or digital marketing career who already understands the fundamentals, wants more hands-on responsibility, and is looking for an opportunity to grow their skills.

We're not looking for a senior marketing professional with years of agency experience. We are looking for someone knowledgeable, resourceful, and motivated who can work independently, investigate opportunities, and turn what they know into actual improvements.

The goal is straightforward: improve our visibility in search, bring more qualified visitors to our website, and help generate more calls, inquiries, and leads.

What You'll Work On:

  • Keyword, competitor, and search-opportunity research
  • Optimizing existing website pages for organic and local search
  • Identifying opportunities for new service and location pages
  • On-page SEO, including titles, metadata, headings, internal linking, and image optimization
  • Making normal SEO-related updates directly in our WordPress/Elementor website
  • Managing and improving our Google Business Profile and local search presence
  • Local citations, business listings, and appropriate off-page SEO
  • Monitoring Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Tracking rankings, impressions, clicks, website traffic, and conversions
  • Identifying and addressing basic technical SEO issues
  • Helping track calls, website inquiries, and other conversions
  • Looking for additional online marketing opportunities that may be worth pursuing
  • Providing simple updates on what you've worked on, what you're seeing in the data, and what you think should be addressed next

SEO and local search will be the primary focus. Google Ads/PPC experience is strongly preferred, since we may also use smaller, targeted paid-search campaigns to generate leads.

What We're Looking For:

You don't need a long résumé or years of agency experience. You do need a good working understanding of SEO and the ability to put that knowledge into practice.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Understands the fundamentals of SEO and local search
  • Is comfortable working in WordPress; Elementor experience is a plus
  • Has experience with or a working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Business Profile
  • Can research a problem or opportunity and figure out a reasonable next step
  • Is self-directed, curious, resourceful, and willing to take initiative
  • Can manage their own workload without needing a detailed task list every week
  • Understands that rankings and traffic matter because they should ultimately help generate business
  • Is comfortable learning and using current SEO, digital marketing, and AI tools

Experience with local businesses or home-service companies is helpful but not required.

We care more about what you know, how you think, and what you can do than the number of years you've worked in marketing.

Schedule & Location:

This is a part-time position of approximately 16–20 hours per week. Most of the work can be performed independently, but we prefer someone in the Raleigh, Pittsboro, or Chatham County area who can occasionally meet or work with us in Pittsboro.

How to Apply:

Please apply through ZipRecruiter with your résumé and a short introduction about your SEO or digital marketing experience.

If you have examples of websites, SEO projects, local businesses, or paid-search campaigns you've worked on, we'd like to see them. Please briefly explain what you personally worked on and what you learned or accomplished.

We're open to candidates who are still early in their careers, so don't rule yourself out simply because you haven't been doing this for years.
