Location: Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center | Scranton, PA

Looking for Something Different?

If you're a Speech-Language Pathologist who values meaningful work, flexibility, and making a real impact, we'd love to meet you.

We're excited to welcome Per-Diem Speech-Language Pathologists to our team at the Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center, where you'll have the privilege of caring for veterans and veteran spouses in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This position offers exceptional flexibility with no minimum monthly commitment. We simply ask that team members remain active by providing coverage at least once every six months.

Why Benchmark?

We're a therapist-led organization that believes quality care and strong relationships still matter. Our clinicians are supported by responsive leadership, collaborative teams, and a culture that values outcomes over volume.

What You'll Do

  • Provide speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations and treatment
  • Help residents maintain communication abilities, cognitive function, safe swallowing, and overall quality of life
  • Support residents in staying connected to the people, activities, and conversations that matter most to them
  • Build meaningful relationships with veterans, veteran spouses, families, and team members
  • Document patient progress using Net Health and facility systems
  • Collaborate closely with nursing and interdisciplinary care teams
What You'll Bring
  • Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
  • A genuine passion for working with older adults
  • An appreciation for serving veterans and veteran spouses
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
What We Offer
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Supportive clinical leadership
  • Opportunities to collaborate with experienced PT, OT, and ST professionals
  • Meaningful one-on-one resident interactions
  • A positive, relationship-centered workplace culture
Let's Connect

If you're looking for flexible work that still feels meaningful and connected, we'd love to talk.
