Executive House Manager & Family Assistant

Location: Redwood City, CA | 94061

Employment Type: Part-Time, 2025 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed)

Schedule: Ideally MondayThursday, approximately 12:00 PM6:00 PM. After-school support and school pickup are key components of the role. The family is also open to a morning schedule of approximately 7:00 AM12:00 PM for the right long-term candidate. No Fridays required. Occasional evening or weekend flexibility may be requested with advance notice.

Compensation: $45$50 per hour, based on experience

Key ResponsibilitiesFamily Support
  • Provide dependable support with either morning school drop-off or afternoon pickup, depending on the agreed schedule
  • Transport to weekly after-school activities
  • Provide light supervision and support after school
  • Prepare healthy snacks and help facilitate a smooth afternoon and evening routine
  • Assist with child-related errands and preparation as needed

Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Maintain household order through daily home resets, including dishes, counters, kitchen cleanup, beds, and high-traffic living spaces
  • Create and maintain sustainable household organization systems throughout the home
  • Organize and declutter children's spaces, art supplies, closets, storage areas, entryways, and other priority areas
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Assist with guest, holiday, and travel preparation
  • Support travel packing and unpacking
  • Maintain household essentials, including batteries, light bulbs, filters, and other routine household items
  • Complete periodic household projects, including refrigerator and pantry resets and cleaning humidifiers and air purifiers
  • Partner with the family's existing housekeepers to ensure the home remains consistently organized and well maintained
Meal Preparation & Kitchen Support
  • Prepare fresh, healthy family meals approximately three times per week
  • Focus on balanced meals including lean proteins, vegetables, salads, grains, and family-friendly options
  • Assist with light dinner preparation throughout the week
  • Grocery shop and maintain kitchen and pantry inventory
  • Keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and fully reset following meal preparation
Inventory & Errands
  • Monitor and restock pantry, refrigerator, laundry, and household supplies
  • Maintain household shopping lists and routine orders
  • Manage grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns, package handling, and other household errands
  • Coordinate gift shopping and gift wrapping as needed
  • Manage mail, packages, and cardboard recycling
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, fold, organize, and properly store family laundry
  • Iron or steam garments as needed
  • Ability to do minor mending on occasion (loose button/hem)
  • Manage towel and linen rotation alongside the weekly housekeepers
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked laundry area
Pet Care
  • Assist with feeding and walking the family's small dog as needed
  • Coordinate routine grooming or veterinary appointments
  • Maintain pet food and supply inventory
Vehicle Management
  • Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and servicing
  • Assist with fueling, cleaning, and organizing family vehicles as needed
Vendor & Property Oversight
