This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, part time seasonal roles available!

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with setup, delivery, and takedown of programming elements and activities
  • Assist guest speakers, performers, or facilitators during scheduled programming
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality
  • Proactively engage guests-welcome them warmly and offer assistance before they ask
  • Anticipate guest needs and go above and beyond to elevate their experience
  • Identify opportunities to engage and assist guests
  • Provide clear wayfinding and guidance to key locations
  • Deliver interpretive information aligned with Pursuit storytelling standards
  • Coordinate daily Guest Experience operations to ensure smooth service delivery and effective on-the-spot problem solving
  • Assist with guest photos and create engaging, positive interactions
  • Build strong knowledge of Banff Gondola and Pursuit offerings
  • Share insights on the Canadian Rockies, including wildlife, geology, and local history
  • Assist with managing guest flow and congestion throughout the building
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of guest-facing areas
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives and best practices
  • Work closely with the guest experience team and collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent communication and guest messaging

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences
  • Strong knowledge (or willingness to learn) about the Banff Gondola and the surrounding natural environment
  • Confident speaking to both individuals and large groups
  • Proactive and comfortable initiating guest interactions
  • Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with guests and team members
  • Ability to work independently while staying connected to the team
  • Creative mindset with a desire to enhance the guest experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, energetic, and self-motivated
  • Ability to remain calm and make thoughtful decisions under pressure
  • Comfortable delivering interpretive content aligned with Pursuit standards
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and working in a dynamic indoor/outdoor environment
  • Able to maintain high service standards in all weather conditions
  • Previous guiding experience, second language, or First Aid certification are considered assets
  • First Aid Training an asset
  • Physical demands include constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for extended periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, working outdoors, and may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must consent to a criminal record check in alignment with our "Always Honest" value

The starting wage for this role is $18.00/hour.
