Overview

The Part-Time General Labor & Shredding Assistant provides operational support by assisting with the secure handling and destruction of confidential documents, organizing records, and performing general labor tasks that help maintain an efficient, safe, and organized office environment. This role requires a dependable individual who values confidentiality, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable performing physical tasks while supporting various office operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Collect, sort, organize, and prepare confidential documents for secure shredding.
  • Operate shredding equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Handle confidential client information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Move, lift, and transport boxes of files, office supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Organize file storage areas and assist with records management projects.
  • Maintain clean and organized storage rooms, workspaces, and common areas.
  • Assist with office moves, furniture setup, and other general labor tasks.
  • Support administrative and operations teams with miscellaneous projects as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support office operations


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in general labor, warehouse, facilities, records management, or office support is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus but not required.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive documents.
