Assistant Teacher - Part-Time (School-Age Kids)

Position Summary

Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role working with kids? Join our team as an Assistant Teacher and help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for school-age children before and after school and during other school closures. This role offers a great opportunity to build experience working with youth while developing general leadership skills.


Pay & Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $15.00/hour
  • Consistent weekday schedule
  • School Year - Monday-Friday, 6:30-9:00 AM and/or 3-5:45 PM
  • Summer - Hours will vary based on program needs
  • Potential for additional hours during school breaks

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play an important role in creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for school-aged children. You'll partner with other teachers to make each day engaging, structured, and meaningful.

In this role, you will:

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you should:

Be at least 16 years old

Have a high school diploma/GED (or be working toward one)

Have 1 year of childcare experience (preferred), not required - we're happy to train the right person!

Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time

Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents

Be willing to complete required training once hired (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)

Be able to stay active throughout your shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
