Location: The Learning Experience, Columbia
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday (availability required based on center needs)
Typical Shifts: Examples include, but are not limited to, 6:30 AM-1:00 PM ,10:00 AM-2:00 PM, 1:00 PM- 6:00 PM (full availability is required, schedule is based on center needs each week)
Compensation: $14/hr

Do you enjoy working with children of all ages and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly alike? We're looking for a dependable, adaptable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Floater Teacher to support classrooms ranging from infants (6 weeks) through preschool (5 years).
As a Floater Teacher, you'll play a vital role in helping our center run smoothly by providing classroom support where it's needed most. From comforting infants and engaging toddlers to assisting preschoolers with learning activities, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact across multiple age groups every day.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well with change, and can confidently transition between classrooms while maintaining a positive and nurturing presence.
What You'll Do
  • Provide support across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as assigned
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, routines, and supervision
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging learning environment
  • Support daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, toileting, meals, and transitions
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
  • Follow classroom schedules, center procedures, and licensing requirements
  • Step into different classrooms throughout the day based on staffing and operational needs
  • Foster a warm, nurturing environment that supports children's growth and development

What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with young children is preferred
  • Comfort and confidence working with children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old
  • Flexibility to work with multiple age groups and adapt quickly to changing classroom assignments
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work shifts based on center needs rather than personal scheduling preferences
  • Availability Monday through Friday for varying part-time schedules
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and consistency while supporting different teaching teams
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) the free 15-hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification before orientation
  • Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) First Aid/CPR certification
  • A patient, positive, and energetic approach to working with children
