Job description

Schedule: As needed based on business requirements
About the Position
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Box Truck Driver to make local and regional pickups within approximately a 200-mile radius. This is a part-time, on-call position that is ideal for someone looking for flexible work and who enjoys being on the road.
The driver will operate a company box truck to pick up and transport materials, products, and equipment while providing professional service to customers and representing the Company in a positive manner.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Company box truck for local and regional pickups
  • Travel within approximately a 200-mile radius of the Company's location
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials as required (with other team members)
  • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips and report any maintenance or safety concerns
  • Complete required delivery and pickup documentation
  • Communicate professionally with customers and Company personnel
  • Follow all applicable traffic, safety, and Company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
· Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including moving inventory and organizing stock
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • CDL Class A or B is not required but must have 2-5 years experience driving a box truck
  • Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to safely operate a box truck
  • Ability to safely load, secure, and unload materials
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable and dependable with a strong attendance record
  • Professional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team and manage time effectively
  • Ability to successfully complete a required medical certification examination through a Company-designated occupational medical provider
Driver Requirements
Employment is contingent upon meeting the Company's driver qualification requirements, which include:
  • Verification of a valid driver's license
  • Review of the applicant's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Successful completion of the Company's required medical certification examination through an occupational medical provider
  • Meeting all applicable federal, state, and Company requirements for operating the assigned vehicle
Schedule
This is a part-time, on-call position. Hours and assignments will vary based on Company needs. Candidates must be available to accept assignments with reasonable advance notice when possible.
